Both of the models in the Gold series are equipped with OCZ's Gold XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) Heatspreader feature, which ensures the most effective dissipation of the excess heat produced by prolonged use. Both models in OCZ's Gold series are 240 Pin Dual In-Line Memory Modules (DIMM), with 64-bit data path. The differences between the two models in the Gold series are a matter of numbers, the PC2-8500 being more powerful in MHz and voltage.
