Corsair CX400W

$60.00 Released November, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Includes all the features of the more expensive VX series. Near silent operation. 80%+ efficiency.

The Cons:Not modular. 3 year warranty falls short of the 5 year offered for the vx450w ($15 more). Might not be powerful enough to support a video card that requires an 8-pin PCI-E power connection (possibly misleading).

Announced on October 14th 2008 and immediately available from select e-tailers, the CX400W is a budget power supply. 50W less powerful and $15 cheaper than the next model up, the VX450W, the non-modular CX400W includes all of the features of a high quality power supply such as 80%+ efficiency, active power-factor correction, sleeved wires, and a thermally controlled 120mm fan.
