Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Slim

The Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Slim is a mid-range PC sound card similar to the Asus Xonar HDAV1.3. The main difference between the HDAV1.3 Slim and the HDAV1.3 is the Slim's smaller form factor which allows it to fit more easily in smaller HTPC cases.

Otherwise, the two sound cards sport the same basic features including Dolby Digital and DTS sound-enhancing technologies, an integrated Splendid HD video processing chip and HDMI 1.3 support.

The HDAV1.3 Slim's Dolby and DTS sound-enhancing technologies include Dolby Virtual Speaker which simulates a 5.1 channel surround sound setup from two channels and DTS Interactive which offers automatic 5.1 channel optimization for any speaker setup, ensuring optimal sound quality. Its Splendid HD video processing chip allows the HDAV1.3 Slim to handle high definition video as well as audio, with HDMI 1.3 inputs and output, making a separate video card unnecessary.
